HELENA– The Montana Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that Margit Baake will join the Montana Chamber of Commerce as its membership director on April 9.
As the Membership Director, Baake makes it her top priority to help individuals and businesses connect and succeed. She has a passion for helping others build and utilize effective networks.
Baake is responsible for member engagement, retention, and recruitment – all tied to the goals and objectives of Envision 2026 , the ten-year strategic plan of the Montana Chamber. Her strengths lie in member relations, marketing, and business development.
Most recently, Baake worked as the director of membership at the Missoula Area Chamber of Commerce. Prior to this, she was the membership development manager for the Kalispell Chamber of Commerce. Before entering the chamber world, she traveled the country as a member representative for the National Federation of Independent Business.
Baake earned her Masters degree in Political Science – International Relations while living in Germany. While abroad, she worked as a Berlitz Business Trainer. During her time as a business trainer, Baake taught marketing strategies, leadership skills, soft skills, team building, international cooperation and negotiation skills.
Baake said she “is very excited to join the Montana Chamber team and is looking forward to connecting with businesses across the Treasure State.”
