Tomorrow, the Montana State Senate will decide the fate of the Montana Medicaid program.
Senators will vote on HB 245, which reauthorizes expanded coverage under Medicaid and protects healthcare access for low-income working Montanans.
The Montana Chamber strongly supports the renewal of this vital program because of the important role it plays in supporting Montana businesses and the economy. The Montana Medicaid program keeps employees healthy and on the job, lowers health-related costs, and allows employees to support their families and contribute to their communities.
Losing Montana Medicaid would be devastating for the more than 20,000 businesses that rely on workers covered under the program, including some of the state’s largest industries like food and accommodation, retail, agriculture, and more.
