Growing Industries and Economic Strongholds

HELENA — The Montana Chamber Foundation and the Bureau of Business and Economic Research (BBER) have teamed up once again for the 15th Annual Economic Update Series. This must-attend multi-city event will be held in Billings, Bozeman, and Helena starting on August 17th.

Each location brings expert panelists together, highlighting Montana’s ‘Centers of Opportunity’ in industries including bioscience, advanced manufacturing, and high-tech. Attendees can expect to learn more about these rapidly growing economic powerhouses and how they are critical to Montana’s post-pandemic economic recovery.

Keynote speaker Dr. Patrick Barkey from BBER will also unveil his highly anticipated state and local post-pandemic economic projections. The BBER is the preeminent business research center in Montana. Dr. Barkey has served as Director of the Bureau of Business and Economic Research at the University of Montana since 2008 and has been involved with economic forecasting and policy research for more than 35 years.

“I think this is going to be a big year,” Dr. Barkey said. “There’s no cooling-off of the economy right now.”

Registration for the series is now open and seats for each location are available. For more information about the Montana Chamber Foundation or the Economic Update Series, visit www.MontanaChamber.com.
