KALISPELL — After two days of play, M & C Beverage Inc. and WellSky were named the 2019 Governors’ Cup Grand Champions. M & C Beverage defeated Glacier Bank, the two-time defending gross net champions, by shooting a 113. WellSky won the team net category, shooting a 98.00.
The winning players on M & C Beverage Inc. included Megan Model, Sean McGrath, Nick Shull and Chase Godecke. On WellSky the players included Steve McQueen, Vince Vecchiarelli, Jeff Matthews and Chris Stainsbury.
The Governors’ Cup is the largest business sporting event in the state, sponsored by the Montana Chamber Foundation. The lowest net and lowest gross scores after two days of play are named the Grand Champions of the Governors’ Cup.
“Congratulations to M & C Beverage Inc. and WellSky for being the 2019 Governors’ Cup Grand Champions,” said Ed Bartlett, the Governors’ Cup manager. “We had a great three days of networking and golfing in the beautiful Flathead valley. We are already looking forward to coming back next year.”
This year, nearly 400 players on 77 teams turned out to play at Eagle Bend in Bigfork, Whitefish Lakes South in Whitefish and Meadow Lake in Columbia Falls.
The 2020 Governors’ Cup will return to the Flathead July 30-Aug. 1.
