The Montana Chamber of Commerce is holding a contest to find the Coolest Thing Made in Montana. Read on for rules, deadlines, and details. The 2024 contest has closed, but follow the link below to find out more about our finalists.

how it works
Submit the manufactured (something made on a large scale) product, software, or application you think is the coolest thing made in our state, then download and share our social media graphics to help promote your favorite.
voting
- Individuals may vote once per day per valid email address.
- Nominated products will advance through multiple rounds of voting, with the products receiving the highest votes in each round moving to subsequent rounds.
- Vote totals will be reset at the beginning of each round.
- Paid advertising to promote a product is not allowed. If a nominee is found to have used paid advertising to promote their product in the contest, they will be disqualified.
- Use of social media, press, and other channels to promote products is encouraged.
- There is no cost to participate in the contest. Membership with the Montana Chamber of Commerce is not required.

rules
- Nominations are open to the public. Individuals are encouraged to submit their favorite product.
- Any item manufactured in Montana is eligible; company headquarters do not have to be located in Montana.
- There are no grouped product categories. Every product competes against all other submissions, regardless of manufacturing sector.
- All eligible, nominated companies will be notified by the Montana Chamber of Commerce.
- For a level playing field, manufacturers with fewer than 50 employees will compete in the ‘Small Business’ category in the final round of voting. All nominees will appear on the same ‘ballot’ but after each round of voting we will announce products moving forward.
Timeline
Monday, June 3 – Nominations Open
Monday, July 1 – Announcement of eligible products/voting begins!
Thursday, August 1 – Announcement of products moving to round two of voting.
Tuesday, September 3 – Announcement of products moving to final round of voting.
Monday, September 30 – Voting closes at 5:00 pm MST.
Wednesday, October 30 – Winners will be recognized at the Montana Chamber’s Annual Meeting along with the Oro y Plata Titans of Business award winners.
