In January of every year, the Montana Chamber hosts Business Days at the Capitol. This event coincides with the start of the legislative session (odd-numbered years) and candidate filing (even-numbered years) with a focus on legislative and public policy issues relevant to business. Traditional seminars include ‘Eggs & Issues’ with the legislative leadership and the ‘Last Word’ by the Governor. An evening of networking rounds out this event.
We believe it is important to do our part to convene, empower, and recognize Montana’s women in business, and therefore will host the Montana Chamber’s first Women in Business Summit and International Women’s Day Power Lunch. It is our hope to nurture a statewide ecosystem that will support women’s leadership development and specific needs in the workplace in collaboration with partner organizations currently providing financial and educational resources, mentorship, and networking opportunities. By empowering women in business and women entrepreneurs, the Montana Chamber can play a pivotal role in creating a more diverse, innovative, and prosperous business environment for all.
To recognize one of our state’s leading industries, the Montana Chamber of Commerce hosts an annual event to celebrate the U.S. Travel Association’s National Travel & Tourism Week – #NTTW (Second week of May) and tourism’s intersection with the film and outdoor recreation industries as vehicles to harness the power of place, #TheLastBestPlace, as an economic driver for communities around the Montana.
Started as the Centennial Golf Classic during the 100th Celebration of Montana’s statehood in 1989, the Montana Chamber Foundation annually hosts upwards of 420 golfers for a two-day, 36-hole scramble, creating a fun and competitive atmosphere that fosters business development and networking opportunities for nationally and locally recognized businesses competing for bragging rights and looking to grow their professional networks. More than 650 business leaders, government officials, and policymakers turn out for the Glacier Bank Ace in the Hole Networking Reception & BBQ the night prior to kick off the tournament.
Every October, the Montana Chamber of Commerce convenes the general membership to elect the Board of Directors, review highlights from the past fiscal year, discuss actions and strategies for the upcoming year, and recognize private industry leaders. This valuable networking event creates opportunities for business leaders to meet with peers, learn more about Chamber goals and objectives, and hear from industry experts on trending issues such as elections, economy, and more.
